Alton Law Offices is comprised of two attorneys and a dedicated support group. The firm was founded by Attorney Arthur W. Hoover who has forty years of legal experience. Attorney Hoover graduated from Dartmouth College in 1962 and the University of Notre Dame School of Law in 1965.
Attorney Melissa Countway Guldbrandsen, a native of Alton and graduate of Alton High School, returned to the area after clerking for the New Hampshire Supreme Court and practicing law at a large firm in Concord, New Hampshire. She is a 1993 graduate (with honors) of the University of New Hampshire and a 2002 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill (with honors).
Mary Sawyer is the Real Estate and Prosecution Paralegal. Ms. Sawyer coordinates with lenders, buyers, sellers and real estate brokers to ensure that real estate transactions close efficiently. Ms. Sawyer also provides Prosecution support.
Lynne Brunelle is a Legal Assistant, and is also responsible for Estate Planning and General Matters. Ms. Brunelle ensures that the estate planning process--from initial consultations to final estate packages--is smooth and efficient. Ms. Brunelle is also responsible for court scheduling, billing and all General Litigation Matters in the firm.
